Deulonder gets ready for the new edition of Casa Decor 2020

Deulonder’s team presents a «utility room» with all the features that characterize the style of their designs: order, warmth and innovation.
Casa Decor Madrid will open its doors at the beginning of March and Deulonder, one more year, will be present. After some editions in which he has designed large kitchens with different integrated spaces that have enjoyed great public success, this 2020 have chosen to present a «utility room», a piece that serves both to perform the tasks of washing clothes and store the cleaning utensils, as for other daily activities, such as doing DIY or washing the house pet.
Deulonder changes the traditional vision of the washing and ironing room: instead of a hidden room that is placed in some corner of the house, the Catalan studio restores the importance that this multi-purpose space in the home deserves. The elegance and sobriety that characterize Deulonder’s work will also be reflected in this piece that recovers all its dignity and comfort. Therefore, the use of noble materials, such as wood, steel and bronze, which also respond to a concern for preserving the environment and presenting ecologically sustainable projects, is planned.

Deulonder began his story with Casa Decor in 1994, precisely with a room for washing and ironing. In Barcelona they have participated in thirteen occasions and in Madrid they started 2013 and this 2020 will be, then, the ninth occasion.
The 55th edition of Casa Decor opens its doors on March 5 at Velázquez street num. 55, in the heart of the Salamanca district of Madrid. It can be visited until April 19 and will show the public a building remodeled by interior design professionals from around the country, a unique opportunity to see the latest trends in decoration.
In total you can see up to 67 proposals of very different horizons that will give a new air in this stately building built between 1904 and 1907, and which has 5,600 square meters.
Deulonder has participated on numerous occasions at Casa Decor, first in Barcelona and a few years ago in Madrid, where he has deserved different awards. Last edition, without going any further, the team formed by Lluïsa Deulonder and Chone de la Sotilla they collected for the third time the prize of the public for their cozy and diaphanous «Living Cook» Of the six editions held in the Spanish capital, Deulonder has deserved the public prize three times, and this taking into account the rules of the contest that establish that, when it has been won once, the next cannot be repeated.
