Chone de la Sotilla, from Deulonder, has designed this romantic kitchen full of details located in an apartment in Madrid. After tearing down some walls to expand the space – specifically an old service room was used – a bright, well-equipped kitchen has been achieved, which respects the desire of its owners to have a large television, as well as an island for eat comfortably on comfortable stools. Up to six people can easily eat seated. To get a full front to place the television, it was necessary to place the water and cooking point in the window. On the other hand, to give a touch of romanticism to the space, the sides of the tall furniture have been finished at the top with a small angled figure that also acts as a cornice and is framed. As a whole, the kitchen plays Deulonder’s characteristic tone, English green, off-white and brushed bronze, which determines the lighting, handles and other decorative details. The floor is imitation stoneware, while the countertops are white Corian. A perimeter wainscot has been designed throughout the kitchen finished with paper: in the kitchen, with a floral motif, while in the ironing room, a thousand-striped paper has been chosen. The cornice and ceiling have been painted white to highlight the green. In general, the kitchen is elegant, tidy and very personal.

The kitchen entrance connects with the hall, at the main entrance of the house. Large stained glass windows have been designed to be able to perceive the kitchen just by entering and enjoying this space, while allowing light to be brought into the hall, which is dark.
Small shelves have been arranged to store spices and other products necessary for cooking food. The shelves have a brushed bronze rod that allows you to limit the edge, without forgetting its decorative function. The cooking area has been arranged under the window and the extractor hood is on the countertop.
The island is designed to be able to eat thanks to the blown Corian top, and also includes a food preparation area, with a practical wooden cutting board.
A very warm space has been achieved but thanks to the soft tones and the slatted covering of the walls, lacquered like the furniture, in green. Soft LED lighting projects a very warm light.
On the other side, the space has also been used to put some shelves topped with an ornamental rod. The dishwasher has been placed under the breakfast cabinet, which in this case is not integrated. The furniture is lacquered with paneled doors and the corners are molded.
The television has been hung on the side, next to the ceiling-high column cabinets that include the oven and refrigerator. On the right you can distinguish the stained glass window that overlooks the rest of the house.
A Quooker tap has been installed next to the breakfast cabinet, which immediately provides water in different forms. It is bronze, like the lamps and handles.

From the island you can eat comfortably while watching television. Lamps with brushed bronze screens create a calm and pleasant atmosphere.

The kitchen is fully equipped and every corner has been taken advantage of. You can see the narrow drawer located in the corner where products such as oils and vinegars can be stored.

The custom breakfast cabinet, fully illuminated inside with LED strips, has been designed to be able to hang different types of tea and coffee cups. Thus they are arranged in a practical and friendly way at the same time. Next to it you can see the flora motif paper that dresses and adds elegance to the kitchen.

The pantry area, illuminated by a flood of natural light thanks to the large window, has been made in imitation wood, proof that you can achieve a very warm space worked in imitation wood. The floor is stoneware.
In addition to the open shelves, which allow you to store and always have the different products at hand, a support envelope has been provided for cutting bread or opening containers, for example.

Despite being another room in the house, the laundry room shares the same aesthetics with the kitchen.
In the laundry area, the clothesline takes up little space and has a mechanism that goes up and down and allows you to hang the clothes that are collected on the ceiling without taking up more space. Below is the ironing board. On the wall, a pivot bar allows you to hang ironed clothes.
From the kitchen you access the pantry through this passage. The door to the crockery cabinet shares the same line as the access door to the laundry room.
