A urban and family kitchen
The countertops are made of white Corian, the predominant color of this open-plan and modern kitchen with an island that allows you to separate spaces: the kitchen area and the daily dining area.
This urban and family kitchen has an island that is separated by an automatic guillotine: on one side is the kitchen area, with a supporting sink, while on the other there is access to the dining area. The countertops are made of white Corian, the predominant color of this open-plan and modern kitchen that is combined with an off-white tone on the walls, while the furniture is painted in a Deulonder beige color. The result is an elegant and extremely practical space.
The kitchen has a pantry and an ironing room.
Designed to be enjoyed as a family, the kitchen has a large wooden table that can accommodate up to eight people. On one side there is a bench, and on the other some classic chairs recovered from the house. The area is lined with vertical slats and has a horizontal piece halfway up. This model continues in all three spaces, thus providing aesthetic continuity. On one side, a television has been arranged. It is a “soigné” space that invites you to eat as well as sit down to read or do your homework.
The lighting, with wicker lamps in a darker tone than the furniture, contributes to creating a calm and pleasant corner. The floor is parquet, like the rest of the noble parts of the house, unlike stoneware for the domestic areas.
On the other side of the dining area, a breakfast cabinet fully equipped with a coffee maker and drawers to store bread, coffee and sugars has been arranged, and next to it stands a tall display cabinet to store everyday dishes. They have also used some bronze-tone appliqués, like the handles, and the appliqué with two arms is repeated in the ironing board area in the laundry room.
The pantry area is separated with a glass door. A support envelope has been provided, while the different preserves can be stored by family on the shelves. The space is fully utilized.
The pantry has been lacquered in the same color as the furniture but the back has been wallpapered with a natural fabric.
Next to the entrance to the pantry there is a practical magnetic board to hang notes and various papers.
Between the kitchen and the laundry area there is a step to facilitate the connection. If to separate the kitchen area from the dining area there is a guillotine separation and a passage, here we have chosen a sliding door to close this space.
The washing machine and dryer are hidden behind tall cabinets with ventilated and retractable doors. A sink with a laundry basket at the bottom has also been installed. The front of the ironing room also includes an open bar for hanging clean and ironed clothes.
